ABOUT bella
Spending her childhood in Brazil, Bella grew up with music on every street corner. Always keen to pick up any instrument, and above all to sing, she penned her first song at the age of eight.
Having discovered her passion for songwriting she pursued it, and in 2015 was made a finalist in the Song Academy's National Young Songwriter of the Year competition. Further success followed with Open Mic UK in 2016, as a result of which she recorded her first EP, mostly a blend of indie and folk sounds, released onto all major music platforms in October 2018.
Having played across the world, from the bars of Melbourne, Australia, to venues such as Jimmy's in Manchester, the UK, Bella has once again packed up and taken her music somewhere new - Switzerland!

With plans for a second EP delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic, Bella hopes to release new music in Autumn 2023. Watch this space!

Performing
Bella has a varied performance history. With her classical career she performed in venues such as the Royal Festival Hall and the Barbican Concert Hall in London, as well as the Royal Albert Hall in Nottingham and the NEC in Birmingham. She has performed twice in the televised semi finals of the BBC's Songs of Praise Choir of the Year competition and was a member of the winning choir in 2015's Barnardo's Choir of the Year Competition.
As a solo singer-songwriter she is used to performing to a wide range of audiences - anything from gatherings of 15-20 people to crowds of 4000! Bella has also become a familiar face and local favourite on the Manchester music scene over the past 3 years, with a varied selection of covers and several catchy originals.
